AI for Impact: Call for social entrepreneurs and non-profit organizations supporting social entrepreneurship

AI Sweden, with funding from Google.org, is running the AI for Impact project, which aims to strengthen Swedish social entrepreneurs and non-profit organizations working towards social sustainability. During the project, several initiatives will be carried out to raise awareness of how AI can be used for social good and to develop examples of use cases.

Included in AI for Impact are

A summer talent program in 2024, where students in AI and Machine Learning will carry out projects with social entrepreneurs and nonprofits. Participating organizations can apply with a project proposal to participate.
A hackathon in the fall of 2024, where social entrepreneurs and nonprofits are invited to develop new use cases for AI within social good. More information about this will be published in the spring of 2024.
Networking events and training aimed at increasing collaboration and knowledge within the sector.

About the talent program

The talent program within 'AI for Impact' will take place from June to August 2024. It aims to support social entrepreneurs and non-profit organizations in their work using AI. Five organizations will be selected to participate in the program, and each will be assigned a team of three talents.

Who is in scope for the project?

The project targets two types of organizations:

Social impact companies and social entrepreneurs, i.e. companies whose core business revolves around creating social benefits. These companies may be for-profit, but this should not be their primary driver
Non-profit organizations working for social benefit
