Accelerating applied AI in Sweden

AI Sweden is the Swedish national center for applied artificial intelligence.

Our mission is to accelerate the use of AI for the benefit of our society, our competitiveness, and for everyone living in Sweden. We are broadly funded and not for profit, and we collaborate with speed and boldness in everything we do with our over 180 partners from the private and public sectors as well as academia.

AI as a catalyst for Ukrainian women entrepreneurs

AI Sweden has successfully concluded a project preparation aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s economic resilience and facilitating future EU integration through AI literacy. As part of the WIRNU project, a comprehensive AI training program was developed to empower the country’s women entrepreneurs. “Through this collaboration, we have created a curriculum tailored to the realities of Ukraine,” says Nina Levchuk, co-founder of the Ukrainian organization Impact Force.

Top politicians and business leaders gather with AI Sweden at Almedalen

For three days, political decision-makers and some of the most influential leaders from the business community and the public sector gathered in AI Sweden's garden in Almedalen. The discussions focused on sovereignty, defense innovation, the future labor market, healthcare, and the necessary conditions for businesses to increase competitiveness and growth. "This year's program has been the strongest and most high-profile yet," says Karin Vajta Engström, Director of Communications at AI Sweden.
