Nobel Prize in Physics and Chemistry for groundbreaking AI research

Two Nobel Prizes to AI in 2024! The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences awarded the foundational research behind artificial intelligence with the Nobel Prize in Physics, and the work on AI in protein research done at Google DeepMind with the Chemistry prize. “It is fantastic to see this important work getting this kind of recognition! Especially the applied AI for protein research,” says Johanna Bergman, Director of Strategic Initiatives at AI Sweden.

Building a better energy system with AI

In mid-November, AI Sweden, Energiforsk, and Powercircle are bringing together the Swedish energy sector for a two-day conference focusing on the possibilities of artificial intelligence. "With artificial intelligence, the industry has gained new opportunities to optimize, forecast, maintain, and build a more robust, flexible, and sustainable energy system. How this works in practice is the focus of AI4Energy," says Filip Kjellgren, Strategic Initiative Developer Energy at AI Sweden.
