Our mission is to accelerate the use of AI for the benefit of our society, our competitiveness, and for everyone living in Sweden. We are broadly funded and not for profit, and we collaborate in everything we do with our 180+ partners from the private and public sectors as well as academia.

Six AI policy priorities for Sweden’s new government

A new government will take office in Sweden shortly. It will need to make decisions that shape Sweden’s capacity to harness artificial intelligence—and by extension, our future competitiveness, social welfare, security, and democratic resilience.

AI Sweden's maturity assessment process now updated

Since 2021, AI Sweden has had a process for measuring the AI maturity of its partner organizations. It has now been updated to better reflect the developments that have taken place in the AI field since then. "The method was originally developed by the German organization AppliedAI. AI Sweden has played a major role in the work on the updated version, where we have, among other things, contributed to a clearer adoption perspective and given responsible AI more prominence," says Per Clingweld, Change Agent and responsible for maturity assessments at AI Sweden.

AI Sweden appoints two new steering committee members

AI Sweden welcomes Emma Lennartsson, Regional Director, Stockholm Region and Markus Lingman, Chief Medical Intelligence Officer, Sahlgrenska University Hospital, to the AI Sweden Steering Committee.
