Our mission is to accelerate the use of AI for the benefit of our society, our competitiveness, and for everyone living in Sweden. We are broadly funded and not for profit, and we collaborate in everything we do with our 180+ partners from the private and public sectors as well as academia.

Sweden joins forces against AI-driven cyber threats

Advanced AI is creating new cyber threats against Sweden. In response, experts from multiple sectors of society are joining forces in a national initiative to rapidly detect, manage, and fend off future attacks.

Sweden’s university hospitals and AI Sweden launch national AI skills initiative

To enable Swedish healthcare to fully benefit from artificial intelligence (AI), access to the right skills is essential. Through the new Health AI Academy Sweden initiative, 600 healthcare employees will be trained. The initiative is funded with 18 million Swedish kronor (SEK) from the European Social Fund (ESF) and is led by Sweden’s seven university hospitals together with AI Sweden.

New partnership with Genomics England on privacy-preserving AI

AI Sweden has signed a research partnership with Genomics England, a company owned by the United Kingdom's Department of Health and Social Care. The agreement provides AI Sweden with unique access to one of the world's leading genomics research environments, meaning the Swedish-developed AI tool, LeakPro, will now be tested to help identify and manage privacy risks in the application of AI within a major genomics library.
