During the Sweden Innovation Days on 17-19 November, representatives from the national innovation ecosystem, industry, public sector, academia and startups will meet key innovation players from ten countries, including Canada, Germany and South Korea. AI Sweden is one of the co-organizers of the event together with Ignite Sweden and Vinnova.

Sweden Innovation Days is organized by Sweden’s Innovation Agency Vinnova, AI Sweden, Ignite Sweden, SISP -Swedish Incubators & Science Parks and the Swedish Energy Agency. The three-day event focusing on AI will take place on 17-19 November. The event aims to establish relationships with key innovation players across the world that can lead to more innovation collaborations within applied AI.

The program includes keynote lectures, workshops and a matchmaking session. The event will gather representatives from the innovation ecosystem, industry, public sector, academia and startups from Sweden and other countries such as Canada, Germany, the USA, South Korea and Japan.

"Sweden Innovation Days wants to show how Sweden is mobilizing towards transformative innovation. This is taking place thanks to the emerging investments that are being made in AI. We hope that this event attracts new talent to Sweden and creates new international innovation collaborations within AI", says Darja Isaksson, Director General at Vinnova.

Three days with AI in focus

The theme for the first day of the event, on 17 November, is “Transforming Sweden in the rising era of AI through national and international collaboration”.

The program, with keynote lectures and panel discussions, is divided into different tracks of interest for Sweden, the industry and the innovation ecosystem. We will highlight the best of the Swedish innovation environments while emphasizing the importance of international cooperation. The different tracks include the Swedish AI strategy, AI for industry, healthcare, sustainability and the fight of climate change, the future of mobility and our future democracy.

"We want to showcase Sweden as a partner in the ongoing transformation. There is so much going on in our AI ecosystem with many world-class experts, interesting projects and organizations. The event is a chance to learn about the Swedish AI strategy and, at the same time, an opportunity to find new collaborations and potential partners”, says Martin Svensson, Co-Director at AI Sweden.

The focus of the second day of the event, on 18 November, are the success factors that have made it possible for Swedish industry leaders to innovate by collaborating with innovative startups. The program includes some of the best examples of how municipalities, corporates and startups cooperate within AI targeting the sustainable development goals.

Record-breaking matchmaking

The world’s largest matchmaking session between enterprises and startups will take place on the third day on 19 November. Over 75 corporates and public sector organizations from 10 countries will meet over 120 startups and scaleups in curated meetings aiming to initiate commercial collaborations. This global matchmaking is arranged by Ignite Sweden.
