AI Ethics Seminar with Kathryn Strong Hansen and Olle Häggström

A conversation about the book Tänkande maskiner

Kathryn Strong Hansen will speak with Olle Häggström about his new book Tänkande maskiner: Den artificiella intelligensens genombrott, released in April 2021.

While the book is in Swedish, this conversation will be done in English. 

​About the speakers:

Kathryn Strong Hansen is a senior lecturer in language and communication at the Department for Communication and Learning in Science at Chalmers. She has a Ph.D. in English literature from the University of Southern California. Her research ranges from pedagogical explorations of the ways that the study of fiction is beneficial in the teaching of science and technology to literary analysis of young adult literature.

Olle Häggström is a professor of mathematical statistics at the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Chalmers, and serves as chairman of CHAIR's AI ethics committee. He has worked on AI policy issues both on the national and the EU level, as well as in the World Economic Forum. Tänkande maskiner is his fifth book.
