Vinnova allocates funding to AI Innovation of Sweden

Following the goverment's decision in May, Vinnova is now allocating funds for the first step of AI Innovation of Sweden.

The Swedish Innovation agency has now approved the first funding to plan and structure the national arena for accelerated AI-based research and innovation, that was annonced by Peter Eriksson, Minister for Digital Development on May 16

The effort to plan the arena started in May and involves all initiating partners; Chalmers, University of Gothenburg, Astra Zeneca, Veoneer, Volvo Cars, Volvo Group, Zenuity, Västra Götalandsregionen and Lindholmen Science Park, who is also hosting the initiative.

The ambition is to open the arena during Q4, 2018. Additional partners have already joined and will be communicated over the coming weeks.
