Wednesday, October 30, 2024

62 curated one-on-one meetings, three cities, and one mission: working together to accelerate AI in Sweden.

“Partner-to-Partner provides an opportunity to forge new connections and explore ideas with an open mind. We've launched several development initiatives through AI Sweden using this approach. At this latest Partner-to-Partner event, we established several new connections that could help advance our AI initiatives.”

AI Sweden's annual Partner-to-Partner meet-up demonstrated the power of nationwide collaboration, connecting partner organizations in Gothenburg, Lund, and Stockholm on October 24th. The meet-up facilitated 62 curated one-on-one meetings while featuring crucial discussions on AI security, regulatory compliance, and practical implementation strategies.

The afternoon kicked off with a presentation on AI and Security by Robert (Bobby) Bridges, Mathematician & Innovation Leader at AI Sweden, addressing the critical balance between innovation and security in AI adoption.

"Understanding AI's specific vulnerabilities and ensuring robustness is essential for successful AI implementation," Bridges emphasized during his session.

In a case study of AI adoption in the public sector, Håkan Pettersson, CFO of Swedac, shared insights from their organization's AI journey since joining AI Sweden in April. Pettersson highlighted their strategic focus on organizational change rather than technical complexities, demonstrating how even smaller government agencies can successfully embrace AI innovation.

Lastly, we got to experience a live demonstration of the event's collaborative spirit, featuring a real-time one-to-one meeting between Patrick Lindqvist from CGI's Malmö office and Carl Malm, Partner Manager at AI Sweden. The session showcased the tangible value of these focused partner interactions, with Lindqvist, a senior lead consultant, bringing CGI's global insights to the conversation.

"The format of connecting partners across three cities simultaneously created an opportunity for nationwide collaboration," says Tommy Boije, Partner Manager at AI Sweden. "The 62 matchmaking sessions that followed the presentations demonstrate a strong appetite for partnership and knowledge-sharing within Sweden's AI ecosystem."
