AI Sweden recently hosted two Open House events in Stockholm and Gothenburg. The events featured discussions on how AI can contribute to solving societal challenges and creating new opportunities across nearly every sector.
– What breadth! There was truly something for everyone, regardless of their level of knowledge. I left with tons of new insights and ideas, said Henrik Sjöström, Senior Business Development Manager at OX2, who attended the event in Stockholm.
– It was a fantastic afternoon at AI Sweden with many insights. One of the most important takeaways for me is that we shouldn't get fixated on the technology itself - not everyone needs to have a deep understanding of AI. We need to prioritize change management within organizations, create understanding through use cases, and focus on implementation, said Petter Cederberg, entrepreneur and founder of Cambiare Consulting.
AI Sweden is a unique collaborative platform, emphasized Martin Svensson, Managing Director at AI Sweden, as he opened the event in Stockholm. The AI Sweden network currently brings together over 150 partners who collaborate, co-invest, and share knowledge, experience, and real-world solutions.
Sweden's rich AI ecosystem was evident in both Stockholm and Gothenburg, where it became clear that artificial intelligence is impacting all industries and professions. However, if we want to capture the unrealized value of AI, the entire organization needs to be involved, and courageous leadership is needed to pave the way.

AI Sweden has a role to play here, according to Shika Chand Blom, Senior Client Executive at Dassault Systèmes, who attended the event in Stockholm.
– Sweden excels in technical innovation, but our industries are still lagging behind in adoption. Being early adopters of emerging technologies like AI is crucial for the continued success of our industries. For me, it's very clear how AI Sweden can orchestrate and lead from a position of trust to accelerate the renewal of our industries and enable them to be pioneers in redefining new business models, she said.
In Stockholm, one of the program items focused on responsible AI. Francisca Lundborg, Head of Responsible AI, PhD, at AI Sweden, spoke about the safe, ethical, and transparent use of AI. As development accelerates, organizations must balance innovation with managing unique risks and building trust through collaboration and fairness.

An example of large-scale collaboration is "A Shared Digital Assistant for the Public Sector," which was also showcased to participants in Stockholm. Jonatan Permert, AI Transformation Strategist at AI Sweden and project leader for the initiative, spoke about this unique project that now brings together 55 regions, municipalities, and government agencies to jointly develop AI solutions that meet the needs of the public sector.
In Gothenburg, the focus was on AI in healthcare, among other topics. Lorna Bartram, AI Transformation Strategist - Healthcare, shared insights from AI Sweden's collaboration with the Canadian healthcare provider Unity Health Toronto and how AI can help address the challenges of an aging population and increasing demand for healthcare.
