AI Sweden is one of the key stakeholders in the establishment of a new Nordic AI Center, a strategic initiative that has secured 30 million DKK in funding from the Nordic Council of Ministers. This major investment will accelerate AI adoption and innovation across the region.
This initiative is a collaboration between five of the region's leading organizations: AI Sweden, AI Finland, Digital Dogme (Denmark), IKT (Norway), and Almannarómur (Iceland). For coordination, a secretariat will be located in Sweden to handle the center's work, and staff will be located in all participating countries. Formally launching in the fall of 2025, the center will serve as a cross-sectoral hub for governments, companies, and organizations to consolidate strategic leadership and expertise. The ambition is to include organizations from the Baltic countries as well.
