New playbook helps AI Sweden's partners drive successful use cases

The playbook introduces a new way to find AI opportunities by starting with six typical areas of application for AI, from content creation to decision support. The idea is to encourage teams to find inspiration outside of their own industry.

How AI can be used in different areas of application is illustrated in the playbook with a number of examples of successful AI implementation from both the private and public sectors that have taken place in leading organizations within AI Sweden's partner network, including Proact, Sveriges Riksbank, Sweden's central bank, and the University of Gothenburg. The handbook provides advice on how to identify, evaluate, and prioritize use cases that have the greatest potential to create value in the organization. Not least, it provides an introduction to the importance of thinking in processes during the implementation of AI, which is crucial for the next major step in AI development, agentic AI.

“It also emphasizes responsible usage, both regarding legal requirements and ethics, and what a process that supports those aspects can look like,” says Kristin Heinonen.

“For this advice and these recommendations to make a difference, it's not enough to just read about them. They must become part of how you work. Therefore, the playbook concludes with instructions on how the handbook can be used as a starting point for a workshop with your team to test these methods directly in practice.”

The Use Case Playbook is the latest addition to the Use Case Toolbox, a collection of resources developed to support partners in driving better use cases. Some of them are open for everyone to access, while others, such as the Use Case Toolbox and the ROI calculator launched at the beginning of the summer, are only available to AI Sweden's partners.
