Linda Palmgren to lead AI Sweden – as Sweden’s unifying force for applied AI
Linda Palmgren will take over as Managing Director of AI Sweden on October 1. She is a board member and executive advisor in AI and business transformation, with many years of CEO experience, leading companies through digital transformation. Her mission is to strengthen Sweden’s collective AI capability and create even greater value for competitiveness, welfare, and strengthened sovereignty.

Unifying Sweden with high ambition
Now in its eighth year, AI Sweden's portfolio spans from security initiatives with Sweden's leading defense actors and agencies to the joint digital assistant being built alongside around 100 municipalities. In April, AI Sweden gathered over 200 CEOs and board chairs to launch the AI Sweden Leadership Report 2026, a report focusing on leadership in the AI era.

Annika Elfström, who has led AI Sweden during the transition period, will continue as part of the executive management.
