Within the scope of the Data Factory, AI Sweden launches Edge Learning Lab together with partners Zenseact, HPE, Volvo Cars and Ericsson in order to explore distributed learning and edge computing. Partners are now invited to participate.
The rapid advancement of technologies and solutions that will facilitate everyday life and create even better products and services, such as autonomous vehicles and AI-driven healthcare, calls for new ways to transfer, store and process data. Data transferring methods need to be cost-efficient and legally compliant while keeping sensitive information safe. Traditional development methods struggle to deliver on this. Instead, distributed and federated learning may be the answer. It is now crucial to accelerate the applied understanding of how to use and optimize it.
Therefore, AI Sweden has joined forces with Zenseact, HPE, Volvo and Ericsson to launch the Edge Learning Lab. Edge Learning Lab will give AI Sweden’s partners the chance to position themselves at the forefront of edge computing and federated learning by scoping projects together and quickly build a working environment for experiments.
The first thing to be launched is a sandbox for testing ideas in practice. Join us in defining what challenges can be addressed by federated learning and test them in the lab while teaming up with others to share knowledge along the way!
