I am very honored by the nomination. I see it as recognition of the work we have done in building AI Sweden and our model for developing Sweden's ability to create sustainable value with AI. Our mission is to contribute to long-term change in both the business and public sectors, and I am proud of how our work creates significant value for many of our partners. One of my most important tasks is to inspire the courageous and strong leadership required in both boards and company management, and I am therefore particularly grateful for the nomination in the leadership category.

Since its start in 2019, AI Sweden has grown to become a unique national resource that combines technical excellence, organizational and operational understanding, and networks of relevant actors. AI Sweden today has over 170 partners in the business sector, public sector, civil society, and academia who invest and work together to overcome common challenges and realize the value of AI.
AI Sweden also distinguishes itself internationally and has ongoing collaborations with Dakota State University, Unity Health Toronto, and OpenAI. In addition, AI Sweden is involved in several large European projects, including the groundbreaking project OpenEuroLLM, which aims to develop common open and transparent large language models for European languages.
"To keep pace with development, leaders in both the private and public sectors must see the potential and dare to invest. This is absolutely crucial for our future competitiveness and welfare," says Martin Svensson.
The Societal actor of the year award is presented by Dagens industri and Gullers Grupp to recognize actors who contribute to positive societal development. The winners in the three categories—leadership, sustainability, and innovation—will be announced later this fall.
