AI Sweden’s Impact Report 2025: A year of collective value creation

Thursday, March 12, 2026

We are now releasing the Impact Report 2025. AI Sweden continues to grow and the impressive engagement in the partner network and across the whole ecosystem demonstrates how collective efforts, shared resources, and applied AI generate tangible value.

2025 was a year in which our long-term collaborations and strategic initiatives gained further momentum, creating value across the entire Swedish AI ecosystem. In this report, we highlight selected initiatives as this year's "impact stories." These stories do not just prove the power of strategic collaboration and applied AI; they also serve as positive examples of what large-scale implementation can mean for Sweden.

Some of last year's highlights included the further expansion of the project A shared digital assistant for the public sector, Sweden’s largest collaborative AI initiative for the public sector; that the OpenEuroLLM project has laid the foundations for a new generation of open language models for stronger European digital sovereignty and competitiveness; and the groundbreaking work conducted to reduce industrial carbon emissions through AI-driven energy optimization.

Throughout the year, we engaged more than 8,000 participants at our events and 89 new talents through our programs.

The momentum in the AI Sweden ecosystem right now is truly inspiring. Over the past year, we have seen more organizations than ever come together to accelerate the use of AI across sectors, disciplines, and borders. I am really looking forward to continuing this journey together.
