Between 2021 and 2024, Stefan Ekberg led Södra's AI initiative. When he left, he was head of a team of 30 people who generated close to SEK 400 million annually for the company. The success was based on starting with real business problems and focusing on measuring financial value.

"Many organisations are struggling with how to get started with AI or scale up their existing initiatives. In my experience, the key is to start with real business problems. It's about working closely with the business and building a common understanding of how AI can drive innovation and profitability," says Stefan Ekberg.

Stefan Ekberg started as a Senior AI Change Agent at AI Sweden on May 1st of this year.
