The need for regulatory guidance in AI is growing rapidly. When both the business community and central government agencies turn to us for dialogue, we see it as confirmation that our unique collaborative environment, bridging technology, law, and policy, serves a critical function. That is why we are now establishing this role to be able to work more proactively on these crucial issues.

Head of Regulatory and Leadership Initiatives
Previously, AI Sweden has primarily served as a platform for dialogue on legal issues. However, going forward the work will also focus on actively contributing to the legislative process surrounding AI and to help partners interpret regulatory decisions made by various political bodies, both at the national, Nordic, and EU levels. The long-term goal is to establish a working group dedicated to creating clarity and predictability for Swedish organizations, thereby reducing the legal barriers that currently hinder progress.
Developing bold and competent leaders
Alongside the regulatory work, AI Sweden is scaling up its efforts to accelerate the expertise of Swedish leaders. The initiative aims to equip Swedish boards and management teams with the knowledge, courage, and tools needed to make well-founded, strategic decisions about AI.
"Change must be driven from the top. The ability of a company or a public authority to harness the value of AI is directly linked to the leadership's understanding and decisiveness. By filling the Swedish business landscape with competent leaders, we are laying the foundation for long-term growth and welfare," says Billy Jörgensen.
The initiative will include everything from board training programs and strategic coaching to providing decision-makers with the foundation to act quickly and in an informed manner. The function will operate across the entire AI Sweden organization and in close collaboration with partners in the ecosystem.
