Each seminar features an initial 45-minute presentation by practitioners or researchers followed by discussion. The NLP Seminar Series is organized by AI Sweden and RISE NLP Group, and moderated by Magnus Sahlgren, Head of Research, Natural Language Understanding at AI Sweden and Joakim Nivre, Head of Natural Language Processing at RISE.

Omar Sanseviero (Hugging Face): How to build ML in an open and collaborative way

Abstract The transformers have caused a change of paradigm within NLP and are impacting other domains as well. In this talk, Omar will give a brief recap of the importance of transformers and transfer learning, and will then talk about open science efforts as well as tools to enable people to work collaboratively in their Machine Learning projects. Finally, Omar will show how to build ML demos collaboratively, opening the doors to building ML portfolios and showcasing work to stakeholders.
