Welcome to a lunchseminar about AI in the field of radionuclide therapy with Professor Peter Bernhardt
This seminar will start by addressing – why is artificial intelligence (AI) of interest of for a medical physicist, or rather, can a medical physicist’s research within AI contribute to improve patient diagnosis and treatments outcomes.
Thereafter, Peter Bernhardt will give some examples of the AI activities that the research group is currently working with. This includes AI techniques for improving image quality, diagnosis and reducing acquisition time for tomographic images within nuclear medicine.
Peter Bernhardt was educated in medical physics at Gothenburg University and made his PhD within the field of radionuclide therapy, which still is the major research of interest.
In the year of 2010, he become a Professor at the Department of Radiation Physics, Institute of Clinical Science, Sahlgrenska Academy. Which is the position he has today together with a position as senior medical physicist at the Department of Medical Physics and Medical Bioengineering, Sahlgrenska University Hospital.
When? 25 October 11:30-12:30 (13:00 incl. lunch)
