About the workshop series

This workshop series is designed to provide your leadership team with a dedicated space for strategic dialogues about AI. Together, you will build a shared understanding, formulate a clear direction, and lay the foundation for a systematic approach to AI.

Our ambition is to act as a catalyst, helping you take collective ownership of the AI agenda and accelerate your journey towards long-term, sustainable AI maturity.

Learn together with other organizations

During our workshops, you will participate alongside leadership teams from other companies within AI Sweden’s partner network. A key part of our pedagogy is collaborative learning, giving you the opportunity to discuss shared challenges and exchange experiences. This fosters valuable new perspectives and ideas for developing your own organization.

Key questions addressed by the series

Throughout the modules, you will gain the tools to find your own answers to crucial questions:

  • What is the strategic importance of AI for our specific business?
  • What responsibility rests on us as leaders and as a management team?
  • How do we ensure we have the right competence for the future?
  • What do responsible AI mean in practice?
  • How do we take the first steps to work systematically with AI?

Hosts

The programme is hosted by Peter Kurzwelly, AI Strategist at AI Sweden, and Per Clingweld, AI Change Agent for AI Adoption at AI Sweden – two of Sweden’s most experienced experts in AI, innovation, and organizational development.

FAQ's

You sign up for the workshop series as a leadership team, and we encourage each team to appoint a coordinator who registers the whole group by adding each member’s individual email address. This ensures everyone receives the session invitations and materials directly.

The coordinator plays a key role in ensuring structure, engagement, and continuity throughout the series by:

  • Preparing & engaging: Booking all workshop dates and the team’s self-led sessions, and reminding members about pre-work such as videos and surveys.
  • Coordinating the journey: Keeping track of progress and facilitating shared reflections, especially during Modules 3 and 5.
  • Facilitating dialogue: Encouraging knowledge exchange and capturing key learnings.
  • Connecting with AI Sweden: Sharing questions, needs, and insights to support the programme’s ongoing development.

The workshop series consists of five modules – three self-directed modules completed individually and as a leadership team, and two facilitated workshops together with AI Sweden.

Please note that the content may be slightly adjusted during the programme based on the group’s needs and dialogue.

Module 1: Preparation & current state analysis (self-directed)

We begin by building a shared foundation.

Watch two short videos:
• The AI House
• The Maturity Ladder

Complete a survey to map your current AI maturity (the survey link is included in your confirmation email).

Time commitment: approximately 30–60 minutes individually. Please block the time in your calendar when signing up.

Module 2: Workshop 1 – Strategic foundation and framework (facilitated by AI Sweden)

During the first digital workshop, we will focus on:

  • The strategic importance of AI for the private sector.
  • The role of the leadership team and the competence challenge.
  • The AI House as a framework for visualising and structuring AI initiatives.

Module 3: Application & Reflection (self-directed)

Between the facilitated sessions, you will apply the insights to your own organisation through individual reflection and group discussions. Together, you will identify opportunities, vulnerabilities, and priority areas.

Time commitment: approximately 30 minutes individually + 60 minutes as a group. Please block the time in your calendar when signing up.

Module 4: Workshop 2 – From insight to implementation (facilitated by AI Sweden)

During the second digital workshop we will focus on turning insights into action:

  • Identifying and prioritising strategic AI opportunities.
  • Data and technology: an overview of key technical prerequisites.
  • Leading the transformation: creating the conditions for lasting change.

Module 5: Action plan & next steps (self-directed)

The series concludes with your leadership team finalising your own model of the “AI House” and developing a concrete action plan to advance your strategic AI work.

Time commitment: approximately 30 minutes individually + 60 minutes as a group.

While the core structure of the workshop series is the same, we offer two tailored tracks — one for the private sector and one for the public sector — to better meet the unique needs, goals, and use cases of each.

This approach allows for more relevant discussions and practical examples within each group, while still creating opportunities to share key insights and learnings across sectors throughout the year.

Please note: The private sector workshops are conducted in English, and the public sector workshops are conducted in Swedish.
