Governance

AI Sweden is a partner organization. The main bodies of our governance structure are the Partner Forum and the Steering Committee.

The Partner Forum

The Partner Forum consists of one representative for each Partner and is held once per year. Its key functions are to:

  • appoint the chairperson of the Partner Forum
  • appoint the Steering Committee after a suggestion by the nomination committee
  • appoint the Steering Committee chairperson
  • Decide on changes to the principles for collaboration

The Steering Committee

The Steering Committee will consist of a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 10 ordinary members, including the chairperson. Other Appointees shall be limited to:

  • One representative from the main funding agencies
  • One representative from the Host
  • One representative for the so-called nodes
  • The Director(s) of AI Sweden

The Steering Committee is responsible for:

  • Approval of new Partners (presented by the Directors)
  • Approving the high-level strategic agenda and objectives for AI Sweden
  • Approval of a high-level annual budget for AI Sweden
  • Appointment of the Managing Director
  • Approval of changes to the Partnership model
  • Approval of changes to the Guidelines

Steering committee members

The current steering committee was elected during the Partner Forum in June, 2025. The steering committee members will serve for one year at a time. These are the current members of the steering committee:
