New NLP project to improve linguistic understanding in Swedish AI applications

A thoroughly developed base for NLP - Natural Language Processing - is one of the cornerstones of successful AI applications. AI Innovation of Sweden is now starting a project together with our partners; Swedish Language Data Lab (Svenskt Språkdatalabb), to create a comprehensive set of NLP data for the Swedish language.
Vinnova gives go-ahead for new data labs

Vinnova has approved funding to eight new data labs with the aim to promote the use of data in different areas. Two of these will start up within AI innovation of Sweden together with our partners; Swedish Language Data Lab (Svenskt Språkdatalabb) and the National Swedish Space Data Lab (Nationella Rymddatalabbet)
AI for Solving Real Large-Scale Decision Problems

Launching the Elements of AI in Swedish

On May 15, Elements of AI launched in Swedish with the bold goal of educating 100,000 people in Sweden during 2019. At the launch event, prominent partners and guests held talks in front of a full up lecture hall at the Stockholm School of Economics.

Educating more than 100,000 Swedes on AI

Sweden has come a long way in terms of digital competence, but still has a lot to learn when it comes to AI. In order to create applications and solutions from research and innovation, a basic understanding of opportunities and possible dangers are needed. AI Innovation, Vinnova and Linköping University now provides Sweden with opportunities for such understanding. Elements of AI is free, open for all and comes in both English, Finnish and, as of May 15, Swedish.

If you have visited AI Innovation of Sweden's offices at Lindholmspiren, you probably bumped into Marcus Österberg and Lars Lindsköld. Marcus and Lars both work at Region Västra Götaland but spend a major portion of their time working on the project Swelife AI. Lars has also been a part of AI Innovation of Sweden's team as a senior consultant.
